The Seaside Switch Cardigan

This one started life as a classic crewneck sweatshirt, then decided to make other plans.

The front was opened up and the bottom ribbing was removed, transforming it into an easygoing cardigan with a softer, more relaxed feel. The original sleeves were replaced with towel sleeves in wide blue-and-white stripes, giving it a breezy, beachy twist with plenty of texture and personality.

And because no good makeover should waste the leftovers, the removed sweatshirt sleeves were repurposed into the front pockets. So this piece carries a little bit of its former life with it, just in a more interesting shape.

The result is casual, comfortable, and one-of-a-kind—part sweatshirt, part cardigan, part beach-day layering piece. It’s the kind of throw-on layer that works when you want something cozy but still playful, with enough detail to make people ask where you found it.

Soft blue, striped towel sleeves, upcycled pocket detail, and an easy open-front shape make this one feel equal parts practical and unexpected.
